Hello! My name is Wenny Smart, a published author based in West Sussex, England. Originally from the beautiful island of Java, Indonesia, I bring my love for storytelling to everything I write.

As a proud mother of twin daughters, Rosa and Zara, motherhood has deeply influenced my writing journey. While I’ve published seven books in Indonesia, my focus shifted to children’s literature after my daughters were born. In 2024, I proudly released my first English children’s book in the UK, Sandy Castle. This enchanting story follows a magical sandcastle that talks, walks, and works to save the oceans—a cause close to my heart as an islander.

My passion for writing is fueled by the freedom to create stories that inspire, entertain, and spark the imagination. Reading has always been my refuge, keeping my mind active and my creativity thriving.

This year, I am working on my next children’s book, which will explore themes of parenting, culture, kindness, and magical coastal life. These topics are deeply personal to me, and I’m excited to share stories that resonate with young readers and families around the world.
